Mumbai, July 7 -- DIYguru Mobility will stage the Pune edition of the Bharat eMobility Recruitathon, India's largest dedicated electric-vehicle and automotive hiring drive, on four and five July 2026 at Ajeenkya DY Patil University, Pune. The two-day event will bring more than 1,000 pre-screened, industry-trained candidates together with 30-plus hiring companies and will offer free entry to candidates and employers. Organisers intend to enable on-the-spot interviews and live offers to shorten typical hiring cycles.

Open roles cover ITI and diploma technicians, B.E. and B.Tech engineers, Graduate and Diploma Engineer Trainees, battery and BMS engineers, manufacturing and quality engineers, EV service and diagnostics technicians, and field and sales positions. Candidates range from fresh graduates to professionals with three to 15 years of experience switching from internal-combustion to electric mobility. Every candidate has completed hands-on coursework in battery technology, diagnostics, powertrain design and high-voltage safety under AICTE- and ASDC-certified programmes.

Organisers pointed to a widening skills shortfall as the rationale for the event, citing estimates that India will need around 0.5 mn EV professionals by 2030 while roughly 0.15-0.18 mn are employed in EV roles today, underscoring a substantial talent gap. The India Skills Report 2026 is reported to find that more than half of engineering graduates face employability gaps. The Recruitathon is presented as a mechanism to channel job-ready talent directly to employers and to reduce time-to-hire.

Confirmed employers include Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles, Tata Tele Business Services, BGauss Auto, Gravton Motors, NBS International, LabourNet and Prevalent Automotive. Indicative compensation for entry-level ITI and diploma roles is Rs 0.24-0.45 mn per annum, for B.E. and B.Tech graduates Rs 0.4-0.6 mn per annum, and for experienced ICE-to-EV professionals Rs 1.0-1.8 mn per annum and above. Participation is free; employers and candidates can register via the emobility.careers platform and the online form respectively. DIYguru is described as an ASDC-certified, AICTE-recognised mobility skilling organisation that has trained over 50,000 professionals and supported more than 95,000 learners.
