Mumbai, Oct. 6 -- AM Green Ammonia (India) has been selected as the sole winner of the Asian lot in the H2Global auction conducted by HINT.CO GmbH, securing a long-term purchase agreement to supply renewable fuels of non-biological origin (RFNBO) ammonia to Germany. The company's offer was ranked first among the submissions received in the competitive bidding process.

Under the agreement, HINT.CO will purchase ammonia from AM Green for a minimum value of €585 mn over 10 years. It can also purchase additional quoted volumes using proceeds generated through the resale of green ammonia in the European market, providing a potential expansion of the contracted supply.

The ammonia will be produced at AM Green's Kakinada project, Phase 2, in Andhra Pradesh. The company is converting an existing natural gas-based ammonia and urea complex into a production facility using alkaline electrolysis technology, with electricity supplied through a round-the-clock renewable power system supported by pumped-hydro storage.

The power architecture has been designed to meet European Union requirements for renewable ammonia production. The facility is located alongside Kakinada Seaports, enabling the product to be shipped directly from the plant to Germany and other markets.

First deliveries to Germany are expected in 2029. AM Green Group President and Joint Managing Director Mahesh Kolli said the binding competitive award validated the readiness of the company's platform and would enable it to supply renewable ammonia to European and Asian customers while supporting industrial emissions reductions. H2Global co-founder and HINT.CO Chief Executive Timo Bollerhey said the long-term contract would provide producers with investment certainty and European buyers with reliable supply.
