Mumbai, Nov. 5 -- Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has issued a tender for Ahmedabad City Square, a proposed landmark on Sindhu Bhavan Road estimated to cost Rs. 5.7 bn. The project will include a 175-metre tower modelled on Dubai's Jumeirah Skyline and is intended to give Ahmedabad a new identity through public, cultural and commercial facilities.

The development will have lower-ground and upper-ground levels. The lower ground will include shops and an art gallery, while the upper ground will feature an urban plaza, food kiosks at all four corners, a garden, food court, water fountain and an amphitheatre with seating for 310 people.

A two-storey restaurant will be developed at a height of about 40 metres in the tower, with seating for approximately 1,200 people. Above it, a terrace-deck cafe will accommodate around 200 people, with about 6,485 square metres of circular construction planned for the facility at the same height.

The top of the tower will have a sky deck and skywalk at an estimated height of 175 metres, providing panoramic views of Ahmedabad. The viewing gallery will accommodate around 75 people at a time, while a large digital screen extending between 40 metres and 175 metres will support continuous advertisements.

The project will also include three basements reaching about 15 metres below ground level, with parking for 1,500 vehicles. A further 450 vehicles will be accommodated on the corporation's plot opposite the site. AMC issued the tender on 25 October 2026 and plans an orientation meeting, along with two pre-bid meetings, before finalising the contractor. Once awarded, the work is scheduled for completion within 42 months, or 3.5 years.
