Mumbai, Oct. 28 -- Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone (APSEZ) has incorporated a wholly owned subsidiary, Indian Ocean Gateway Terminal, in Oman, as part of its efforts to expand its international operations. The development was announced in a regulatory filing on Thursday.

The new entity was incorporated by Adani International Ports Holdings Pte, a wholly owned subsidiary of APSEZ. Indian Ocean Gateway Terminal has been established to conduct offshore operations locally and support the company's expansion as a global integrated transport operator.

APSEZ said the incorporation was aligned with its strategy of creating a globally diversified business platform. The company is seeking to strengthen its presence across key international markets through an expanded network of transport and logistics operations.

Indian Ocean Gateway Terminal has been incorporated with 100 shares, each having a value of OMR 5,000. Its total share capital is OMR 500,000, according to the filing. Adani International Ports Holdings Pte holds 100 per cent of the shares in the Oman-based subsidiary.

The incorporation adds to APSEZ's international footprint as it develops operations beyond its domestic ports business. The company has been positioning itself as an integrated transport operator, combining port infrastructure with logistics and related services across multiple markets.

The Oman subsidiary will provide a local corporate vehicle for the group's offshore activities in the country. APSEZ said the move would reinforce its objective of building a diversified global business platform while supporting its longer-term international growth strategy.
