
Mumbai, June 26 -- The Airports Authority of India has invited e-tenders for the facility management and maintenance of one point five megawatt (MW) rooftop grid-connected solar photovoltaic plant at the Integrated Cargo Complex of Chennai Airport. The tender, issued through the Central Public Procurement Portal under a two-envelope system, covers a contract period of 36 months and has an estimated value of 16.1 million (mn) excluding goods and services tax.
The contractor will handle routine maintenance, monitoring and uninterrupted operation of the grid-connected system. Bidders must pay a non-refundable processing fee of Rs 1,180 and deposit an earnest money of zero point four eight three mn, equal to three per cent of the estimated cost, refundable to unsuccessful bidders after evaluation. A performance bank guarantee will be required from the successful bidder.
The tender was published on 17 June 2026 and bid documents were available from 18 June 2026. Clarifications can be sought through the portal until 25 June 2026 and the final submission deadline is 9 July 2026 at 3:00 PM. Technical bids will be opened on 10 July 2026 and financial bids are scheduled tentatively for 13 July 2026 for those who qualify technically.
Eligibility requires a valid electrical contractor licence, GST registration and PAN, together with prior experience of operating or maintaining similar grid-connected solar plants during the last seven years. Bidders must show an average annual turnover of at least one point eight six one mn over the previous three financial years and a minimum net worth of zero point seven eight eight mn, certified by a chartered accountant with a valid UDIN. Joint ventures and consortiums are not permitted.
