New Delhi, Sept. 1 -- Zomato has introduced a zero-tolerance policy for dishes containing analogue dairy products on its platform. With immediate effect, dishes that restaurant partners have declared as containing analogue dairy have been removed. Restaurants that continue to remain non-compliant could also be delisted from the platform.

The move matters beyond the removal of a particular category of dishes. It puts greater responsibility on restaurants to know what ingredients they are using and ensure that what appears on a digital menu matches what is actually being served.
