Ultraviolette Puts Rs.779 Crore Behind Its EV Scale-Up
New Delhi, Sept. 11 -- Ultraviolette Automotive is putting Rs.779 crore into a new manufacturing facility in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, as the electric two-wheeler maker prepares for a much bigger production game.
The company plans to build the facility over the next five years, with an initial annual capacity of 2.5 lakh vehicles that can eventually be expanded to 5 lakh. The plant will complement its existing facility near Bengaluru, which can currently produce up to 50,000 vehicles a year.
