Uber Cuts 10% Of Workforce To Build A Simpler Organization
New Delhi, Sept. 3 -- Uber is cutting jobs in India even as it continues to build technology capacity in the country. That contrast is the more important story behind the company's latest workforce restructuring.
The company is cutting around 200-250 roles in India as part of a global restructuring that will reduce its workforce by about 10%, or roughly 3,300 employees, according to reports. The India cuts are expected to affect technology, operations, and managerial roles.
