New Delhi, July 22 -- Truecaller has joined the GSMA as an Industry Member, marking a step towards expanding its role in shaping global standards for mobile security, caller identity, and fraud prevention.

The membership will enable the Stockholm-headquartered company to collaborate with mobile operators, regulators, and technology companies through GSMA working groups focused on mobile security, spam prevention, and caller identity.

Truecaller said it will contribute insights from its platform, which serves more than 500 million active users globally, to support the development of stronger standards for call authentication and consumer protection.
