New Delhi, Aug. 19 -- For states trying to build startup ecosystems outside India's established technology hubs, announcing a startup policy is only the first step. The harder task is creating the network of capital, industry access, mentorship and market opportunities that can help early-stage companies grow.

Tripura is now trying to build that next layer, The Directorate of Information Technology (DIT), Government of Tripura, launched the T-RISE (Tripura Registry & Integration for Startup Ecosystem) Portal in Agartala on August 17. The platform is designed to bring startups, mentors, investors, incubators, academic institutions, corporates and government departments onto a common digital network.
