New Delhi, Sept. 10 -- Open-source software can grow far beyond the business that first built it. Tailwind CSS is now at that stage, with its creator saying the framework has reached more than 110 million installations a week and is used across products from companies including ChatGPT, X, Cloudflare, Reddit, and Shopify.

The question for a project at that scale is no longer simply how to grow. It is how to keep the technology maintained, relevant, and closely connected to the problems developers are actually solving.
