New Delhi, June 20 -- A consumer survey commissioned by a group of Indian companies and conducted by Kantar suggests that a small number of digital platforms play a dominant role in how urban Indians search for information, communicate, navigate, store data and access online services, raising questions about competition, consumer choice and market access.

The survey, based on responses from 500 urban and digitally active consumers across India, found widespread reliance on a handful of global technology platforms across key digital services.
