Seqrite Flags SVG Files as Emerging Stealth Attack Vector Targeting Indian Enterprises
New Delhi, Aug. 10 -- Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) files, commonly used for images, web content and design assets, are emerging as a stealth attack vector targeting Indian enterprises, according to enterprise security company Seqrite. Attackers are using SVG files to hide malicious JavaScript, trigger phishing redirects and bypass conventional email and web security filters.
The findings are part of Seqrite's India Cyber Threat Report 2026, which recorded 265.52 million threat detections across more than 8 million endpoints, averaging 505 detections every minute.
