New Delhi, Sept. 24 -- Proofpoint has announced a new Agentic Collaboration Security system that uses intent-based detection and AI agents to identify threats that can resemble legitimate business activity. The system is designed to analyze the context and intent behind interactions across email, collaboration platforms, and browsers, rather than relying only on behavioral anomalies.

The announcement was made at Proofpoint Protect 2026 in San Diego on September 23. Proofpoint said the system combines its Knowledge Graph with a new Nexus Intent-Based Detection Model and agentic capabilities for threat investigation, user protection, and browser security.
