New Delhi, Sept. 7 -- The Bengaluru-based spacetech startup has raised $100 million in a Series C round co-led by Temasek and Seraphim, taking its total funding to $195 million. Pixxel said the round is the largest single funding round raised by a spacetech company in India.

But the more important part of the announcement is where the money is going. Pixxel plans to expand its satellite sensing capabilities, develop its Aurora Earth intelligence platform, deepen its work on sovereign space systems, and increase satellite manufacturing capacity. Taken together, those plans point to a business that wants to extend beyond building hyperspectral imaging satellites.
