New Delhi, Oct. 27 -- OpenAI has introduced GPT-6.1 Terra on October 26, 2026. The new model combines visual reasoning, computer interaction and improved factual accuracy with standard API pricing 50% lower than GPT-5.6 Terra and GPT-6.1 Sol.

Rather than positioning Terra as its most capable model, OpenAI is focusing on a different proposition: making computer-based AI automation faster and more affordable at scale.

The model is designed to interpret information displayed on screens and carry out actions across software applications. Potential uses range from completing forms and processing invoices to interpreting technical drawings, preparing proposals and supporting video-editing workflows.
