Ola Electric Approves Rs.1,500 Crore Amid Growing EV Competition
New Delhi, Sept. 6 -- Ola Electric's board has approved a plan to raise up to Rs.1,500 crore through equity shares or other permitted securities, subject to regulatory and shareholder approvals. The possible routes include a further public offer, rights issue, qualified institutional placement, private placement or other permitted methods.
The decision comes only months after Ola Electric raised Rs.780 crore through a QIP in June, above its original Rs.500-crore target.
For FY26, revenue from operations fell 50% year over year to Rs.2,253 crore from Rs.4,514 crore. Vehicle deliveries fell to 173,794 units from 307,846 units in FY25. The consolidated net loss narrowed to Rs.1,833 crore from Rs.2,276 crore.
