New Delhi, Aug. 24 -- India has formally skilled more than 7.67 crore people since 2014-15, with the Union government allocating Rs.34,000 crore towards skilling-related expenditure in FY 2025-26, but the scale of investment has not translated into uniform outcomes, NITI Aayog said in a new report. The policy think tank has warned that India's skilling system is struggling to keep pace with artificial intelligence, automation, changing industry requirements, and new job roles.
