Nikhil Kamath Backs CtrlS As India Scales AI Infrastructure
New Delhi, Aug. 20 -- As enterprises and hyperscalers expand AI and cloud workloads, the pressure is moving beyond computing models and applications to the physical infrastructure needed to run them. Data centers require large upfront investments in land, power, cooling, connectivity and capacity, often well before demand fully materializes.
That is putting data center operators in a capital-intensive race to build ahead of demand. CtrlS Datacenters is now raising fresh capital as it prepares for that next phase. The hyperscale data center operator has secured Rs.250 crore, with Rs.200 crore coming from Zerodha co-founder Nikhil Kamath and another Rs.50 crore from entrepreneur Sreeram Reddy Vanga.
