New Delhi, March 25 -- The Bengaluru-based e-commerce platform Meesho launched the feature, called "Vaani - Your Meesho Dost," as a conversational voice shopping assistant designed to replicate the natural interaction typically seen in offline retail environments.
According to the company, the assistant is aimed at the next 500 million users in India, many of whom are more familiar with conversational shopping experiences in physical markets than navigating digital apps through typing, filters or structured searches.
Over 15 Lakh users interacted with Meesho's generative AI-powered voice shopping assistant during an initial month-long pilot, with early data showing higher conversion rates and repeat engagement, the compnay said.
