Karnataka Plans Dedicated CSR Oversight Team as CM Pushes Primary Education
New Delhi, July 23 -- The Karnataka government will establish a dedicated team to monitor Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects across the State, Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar announced on Thursday, saying the mechanism will strengthen oversight of nearly 10,000 CSR initiatives while encouraging companies to align their CSR investments with the State's development priorities.
Speaking at the Global CSR and Sustainability Summit 2026 organised by the Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FKCCI), Shivakumar said the monitoring team would track CSR projects across districts, including Mysuru, Hubballi and other regions, to improve coordination and ensure that initiatives deliver measurable outcomes.
