India's E-Commerce Boom Is Running Into a Retention Test
New Delhi, Sept. 22 -- India's e-commerce market is still adding users at a pace that most major markets are not matching. The more difficult question is whether platforms can keep those shoppers once they arrive.
Over the past two years, Android Shopping app installs in India increased 85%, compared with just 2% globally, according to AppsFlyer's State of eCommerce for Marketers in India - 2026 Edition. India now accounts for 63% of Android Shopping installs and 71% of Android Shopping sessions among the markets measured by AppsFlyer.
