New Delhi, May 18 -- India's semiconductor ambitions received a major boost as the Tata Electronics and ASML partnership announcement drew strong support from the India Electronics and Semiconductor Association (IESA), which described the collaboration as a "historic milestone" for the country's semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem.

The announcement was made during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the Netherlands and is being viewed as a strategic step toward strengthening India's semiconductor supply chain and manufacturing capabilities.
