New Delhi, Nov. 5 -- HP Inc. has appointed Emma Walmsley, former Chief Executive Officer of global biopharmaceutical company GSK, as its next CEO, effective January 4, 2027.

The appointment, unanimously approved by HP's Board of Directors on November 4, comes as the technology company looks to strengthen its position in AI-enabled computing and workplace technology.

Walmsley will succeed Bruce Broussard, who has served as interim CEO since February 2026. Broussard will move into the role of Board Chair, replacing Chip Bergh, who has held the position since 2017.
