New Delhi, April 2 -- Sumit Gupta, co-founder of CoinDCX, has announced a Rs.100 crore investment to build cyber safety infrastructure in India, following his and co-founder Neeraj Khandelwal's arrest in a fraud case linked to an impersonation scam.
In a public statement on X, Gupta addressed the incident, describing it as "shocking" and "deeply disheartening," while outlining steps the company plans to take to address gaps in how such fraud cases are handled.
Arrest And Bail In Impersonation Case
According to Gupta, the founders were taken into police custody on March 21 in connection with a fraud complaint. He said that on March 24, a court in Thane granted them bail, noting that prima facie no case had been made out against them.
