New Delhi, Aug. 21 -- AWS has announced the general availability of OpenAI's GPT-5.6 Terra and Luna models on Amazon Bedrock in India. The models are available with in-country inferencing, meaning inference is processed on AWS infrastructure in India.

The move gives organizations in sectors including financial services, healthcare, public sector and startups access to OpenAI models locally through Amazon Bedrock. More importantly, it places the models inside an enterprise cloud environment where customers already have security, governance and operational controls in place.
