New Delhi, April 30 -- As investor interest in Anthropic has surged, multiple sources say the company is considering raising around $50 billion at a valuation close to $900 billion. This would mark one of the largest private fundraising rounds and place Anthropic ahead of OpenAI, which was recently valued at $852 billion.

Anthropic's growth has been rapid. The company's annual revenue run rate has jumped from $9 billion at the end of 2025 to over $30 billion this month, with insiders suggesting it is now closer to $40 billion. Much of this momentum comes from its AI coding platforms, Claude Code and Cowork, which are being adopted across industries.
