New Delhi, Aug. 3 -- Anthropic is now bringing in-country inference for Claude to India through Amazon Bedrock. In the coming weeks, organizations using the India endpoint on AWS will have requests processed on servers located within India, allowing enterprises to keep AI inference inside the country while using Claude models.

The move marks another step in Anthropic's broader India strategy, which has expanded beyond building a local team to supporting enterprise deployments, partner ecosystems, and public sector use cases.

As AI deployments become more integrated into business operations, organizations are paying closer attention to where data is processed, who controls access, and how compliance requirements are met.
