New Delhi, April 10 -- Anthropic has appointed Amlan Mohanty as Head of Policy, India, marking the company's early push to build a structured presence in one of the fastest-growing AI markets.

Mohanty announced the move in a LinkedIn post, where he said he was "thrilled" to join the AI firm and lead its policy efforts in the country. "I respect Anthropic's research and safety-first approach to building AI, which aligns with my personal values," he wrote, adding that the team is "mission-driven and intellectually honest."
