New Delhi, June 20 -- Artificial intelligence is already performing 37% of entry-level tasks in India, according to a recent study by Cognizant and Pearson, signalling a rapid transformation of the country's early-career workforce and raising fresh questions about how companies recruit, train and develop talent.

The study which is based on a survey of 750 HR professionals across India, the U.S. and the U.K, found that India is ahead of the global average, where AI currently performs 33% of entry-level work. Nearly one in five HR leaders said that AI now handles at least half of the tasks which were traditionally assigned to the entry-level employees.
