Mumbai, March 7 -- Lexus India has confirmed that the new generation Lexus ES will be launched in India on 20 March. The luxury sedan will arrive in the country less than a year after its global unveiling and will replace the current ES sold here.

In terms of design, the upcoming ES adopts a sharper styling language compared to the outgoing model. The front end features sleek lighting elements and a reworked grille design, while the rear gets a full-width LED light bar with illuminated Lexus lettering. The new generation also has larger dimensions and a longer wheelbase, which should translate to improved cabin space.

Under the hood, the sedan is expected to be offered with hybrid powertrain options similar to the outgoing model. Global...
