Weekly Crude Oil Review: WTI futures ease after hitting four-month high
Mumbai, Sept. 19 -- WTI Crude oil saw volatile moves and tumbled under $100 per barrel as reports that Saudi Arabia plans to restore roughly half of its East-West pipeline capacity within days eased concerns over supply disruptions around the vulnerable Strait of Hormuz. Downward pressure was reinforced builds in US gasoline and distillate stocks. The commodity had hit four-month high around $107 per barrel but a corrective action thereafter pulled it down modestly on weekly basis. Meanwhile, the US EIA stated that for the week ending September 11, 2026, US refineries processed 17.3 million barrels per day (b/d), down 256,000 b/d from the previous week, at 96.8% capacity utilization.
