Mumbai, Sept. 15 -- The US 10-year Treasury yield spiked to 5.02%, adding to its recent gains and hitting highest level since 2007, as markets looked at the spike in crude oil prices ahead of the Federal Reserve's latest interest-rate decision. The benchmark yield jumped more than 5 basis points today to break above the critical 5% mark. Brent crude oil futures topped $107 per barrel, adding to recent spike and are up around 18% this month. Rising energy costs are pushing up bond yields recently. US 10-year yield is up more than 30 basis points in last one-month.
