UK ten year yields ease marginally from multi-year high
Mumbai, May 19 -- Yields on long-dated UK government bonds eased marginally today after hitting their highest in more than a decade on Monday due to a combination of global inflation concerns and U.K. political uncertainty. The 10-year UK bond yields are at 5.05% right now. Economic cues are steady and could keep yields elevated. International Monetary Fund (IMF) upgraded its forecast for the UK's growth this year, but warned the Iran war and domestic uncertainty could hit the economy. The growth estimate has been upgraded to 1% from 0.8% for 2026 by the IMF.
