Mumbai, March 4 -- Treasuries climbed well off their worst levels but still ended the day slightly lower. Subsequently, the yield on the benchmark ten-year note which moves opposite of its price, inched up by nearly a basis point to 4.05% after reaching a high of 4.11%.
U.S. Treasury yields rose on Tuesday as the U.S.-Iran conflict caused oil prices to surge for a second day.
The benchmark 10-year Treasury yield rose more than 1 basis point to 4.06%. It had risen as high as 4.11% during the day. The 30-year Treasury bond added less than 1 basis point to a yield of 4.70%. The yield on the 2-year Treasury note was up almost 2 bps at 3.50%.
