Mumbai, Oct. 29 -- In an amendment letter dated 28 October 2026, the Railway Board increased the ordered quantity from 3,400 to 4,420 wagons under the option clause of the original contract. The additional order will be executed on the same price, terms and conditions as the original contract.

Following the increase, the total amended contract value stands at Rs 1,786.74 crore, including taxes. The additional quantity is scheduled for delivery by 11 June 2027.
