HDFC Bank announced that Reserve Bank of India (RBI) approved the appointment of Anup Bagchi as managing director & chief executive officer (CEO) of the bank for a period of 3 years with effect from 27 October 2026. Anup Bagchi holds Management degree from Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore and an Engineering degree from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. Bagchi served as executive director of ICICI Bank from 2017 to 2023.

ICICI Prudential Life Insurance appointed Siddhartha Mishra as its next Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer for a five-year term, marking a leadership transition at the insurer as current MD & CEO Anup Bagchi heads to HDFC Bank.
