States raise Rs 26,590 crore through SGS auction; Uttarakhand rejects Rs 300 crore
Mumbai, Sept. 1 -- State governments collectively raised Rs 26,590.03 crore through the auction of State Government Securities (SGS) on Tuesday against the notified amount of Rs 27,000 crore. Chhattisgarh accepted a partial amount, while Uttarakhand did not accept any amount.
Assam raised Rs 1,000 crore through the re-issue of 7.62% Assam SGS 2046, issued on 21 January 2026. The security was accepted at a cut-off price of Rs 98.61 and a yield of 7.7585%.
Bihar raised Rs 2,000 crore through two securities. It raised Rs 800 crore through the re-issue of 7.42% Bihar SGS 2035, issued on 08 July 2026, at a yield of 7.6494%. It also raised Rs 1,200 crore through a fresh 25-year security at a yield of 7.76%.
