States raise Rs 21,491 crore through SGS auction; Jammu and Kashmir rejects one security
Mumbai, July 21 -- State governments raised Rs 21,491.03 crore through the auction of State Government Securities (SGS) on Tuesday against a notified amount of Rs 21,700 crore. The lower acceptance was due to Assam accepting a partial amount in one security and Jammu and Kashmir rejecting bids for one of its re-issued securities.
Assam raised Rs 991.03 crore against the notified amount of Rs 1,000 crore through a 10-year security at a cut-off yield of 7.56%.
Bihar raised Rs 2,000 crore through two securities, comprising Rs 1,000 crore through a 15-year security at a cut-off yield of 7.66% and Rs 1,000 crore through an 18-year security at a yield of 7.71%.
