States raise Rs 20,200 crore through SGS auction; Madhya Pradesh leads mobilisation
Mumbai, Aug. 18 -- State governments and Union Territories collectively raised Rs 20,200 crore through the auction of State Government Securities (SGS) on Tuesday, with all 12 issuers accepting their entire notified amounts.
Assam raised Rs 1,000 crore through the re-issue of 7.56% Assam SGS 2036, issued on 22 July 2026. The security was accepted at a cut-off price of Rs 99.75, translating into a yield of 7.5950%.
Bihar raised Rs 2,000 crore through two re-issued securities. It raised Rs 1,000 crore through the re-issue of 7.66% Bihar SGS 2041 and another Rs 1,000 crore through the re-issue of 7.71% Bihar SGS 2044. Both securities were issued on 22 July 2026 and were accepted at yields of 7.6499% and 7.6594%, respectively.
