States raise Rs 20,100 crore through SGS auction; Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra lead borrowing
Mumbai, May 19 -- State governments on Tuesday raised Rs 20,100 crore through the auction of State Government Securities (SGS), with Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu and Telangana participating in the borrowing programme.
Andhra Pradesh emerged as the largest borrower in the auction, raising a total of Rs 4,600 crore across three securities. The state raised Rs 1,000 crore through the re-issue of the 7.63% Andhra Pradesh SGS 2034 at a cut-off price of Rs 98.95, corresponding to a yield of 7.8086%.
It also raised Rs 1,800 crore through the re-issue of the 7.79% Andhra Pradesh SGS 2042 at a cut-off price of Rs 98.93 and a yield of 7.9082%. Another Rs 1,800 crore was mobilised through the re-issue of the 7.81% And...
