States raise Rs 14,800 crore through SGS auction; Kerala emerges largest borrower
Mumbai, June 9 -- State governments and Union Territories collectively raised Rs 14,800 crore through the auction of State Government Securities (SGS) on Tuesday, with Kerala emerging as the largest borrower, followed by Gujarat and Tamil Nadu.
Bihar raised Rs 1,600 crore through the re-issue of the 7.92% Bihar SGS 2051. The security was auctioned at a cut-off price of Rs 101.20, translating into a yield of 7.8084%.
Chhattisgarh mobilised Rs 1,000 crore through two securities. The state raised Rs 500 crore through the re-issue of the 7.37% Chhattisgarh SGS 2031 at a cut-off price of Rs 100.76 and a yield of 7.1782%.
