Mumbai, Nov. 3 -- The key equity benchmarks continued to trade with major gains in the mid-morning trade. The Nifty traded above the 23,600 level. Realty shares extended gains for two consecutive trading sessions.

At 11:30 IST, the barometer index, the S&P BSE Sensex, jumped 837.91 points or 1.11% to 76,565.66. The Nifty 50 index rose 201.20 points or 0.87% to 23,647.65.

In the broader market, the BSE 150 MidCap Index gained 0.72% and the BSE 250 SmallCap Index added 0.68%.

The market breadth was strong. On the BSE, 2,676 shares rose and 1,335 shares fell. A total of 247 shares were unchanged.

Buzzing Index:

The Nifty Realty index jumped 1.11% to 831.35. The index rose 3.1% in the two consecutive trading sessions.
