Mumbai, April 9 -- Nifty Private Bank index ended down 1.75% at 26259.75 today. The index is down 3.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, IndusInd Bank Ltd shed 2.56%, HDFC Bank Ltd fell 2.25% and Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd slipped 2.17%. The Nifty Private Bank index is up 5.00% over last one year compared to the 6.14% surge in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Bank index is down 1.58% and Nifty Financial Services index has slid 1.41% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 has declined 0.93% to close at 23775.1 while the SENSEX has dropped 1.20% to close at 76631.65 today.
