Mumbai, July 2 -- COMEX Gold extended a rebound after a speech by US Federal Reserve Chairman Kevin Warsh dampened speculation the central bank may hike interest rates this year to tackle inflation. He noted that inflation risks had eased recently but offered little hints on monetary policy projections.

The metal hit one week high above $4100 ounce and currently quotes at $4078 per ounce, down 0.23% on the day. Silver also edged above $60 per ounce mark.
