Mumbai, Aug. 21 -- COMEX gold is holding around 12-week high on Friday morning in Asia and is all set to end the week with a gain of nearly 3.5%. Sustained weakness in dollar overseas after the US Treasury Department announced plans to at least double its long-term debt buybacks in an effort to contain borrowing costs is seen supporting gains in precious metals although rising oil prices continued to underscore inflationary risks. The yellow metal is currently seen quoting at $4588.60 an ounce, up 0.38% on the day while silver futures are up more than 1% at $68.88 per ounce.
