Mumbai, Aug. 27 -- COMEX gold rebounded on Thursday morning in Asia following a sharp slide in the previous session after US data reflected on sticky inflation and drove expectation for a Fed rate hike. However, an early dollar pullback from previous high levels is supporting gains in the previous metals. US PCE Price Index remained unchanged at 3.7% on year in July, above the consensus of 3.6%. On a monthly basis, the PCE Price Index and the core PCE Price Index both rose by 0.2% in July. Markets now await speeches of Fed officials this week at Jackson Hole, Wyoming, for their annual symposium. The yellow metal is currently seen trading at $4684.70 an ounce, up 0.64% pn the day while silver futures are up 1.64% at $69.15 per ounce.
