Mumbai, Aug. 28 -- COMEX gold and silver futures are lingering near a one week low under $4700 mark on Friday as investors cautiously awaited Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh's speech at the annual Jackson Hole symposium later in the global day for clues about the outlook for US interest rates. Dollar above 99 mark on higher than expected inflation levels is also keeping the yellow metal under pressure. The precious metal retreats from a three-month high as in-line US inflation data has reinforced the possibility of further Federal Reserve (Fed) rate hikes. Continued geopolitical tensions and elevated oil prices however offset some gains in the counter that is currently quoting at $4632.60 an ounce, down 0.67% on the day.
