Precious Metals Preview: COMEX gold and silver futures stay downbeat
Mumbai, June 29 -- Precious metals continue to stay downbeat on Monday morning in Asia tracking broad gains in dollar overseas. The dollar index is holding well above around 101 after reaching a more than one-year high last week, as investors awaited the latest US monthly jobs report for fresh clues on labor market strength and the outlook for Federal Reserve policy. Gold and silver stay pressured amid hawkish Federal outlook and as investors continue to monitor developments in the Middle East after oil prices climbed following renewed reported clashes between the US and Iran around the Strait of Hormuz.
