Nikkei ends flat as AI revenue outlook supports sentiment
Mumbai, Oct. 9 -- Japan's Nikkei 225 Index ended almost unchanged at 69,031 on Friday, recovering most of its earlier losses. The recovery followed reports that OpenAI expects its annualised revenue to reach or exceed $70 billion by the end of the year, easing concerns over weaker-than-expected revenue figures reported earlier.
Investors remain cautious about whether rising revenues from artificial intelligence (AI) will justify the sector's heavy investment spending. Japanese companies are important suppliers of equipment and components used to build global AI infrastructure, keeping the sector in focus.
